Etape du Tour with Love Velo
Replicating Stage 19 of the Tour de France route, this year's Etape will see riders tackle 130km and 4,600m elevation on the way from Albertville to La Plagne. You'll ride the the Col des Saisies before dropping into Beaufort. From here, it's an epic clib to the Col du Pre, before summiting the epic Cormet de Roseland and a gruelling ascent to the finish line in La Plagne (19.1km at 7.2%) This latter climb hasn’t appeared on the Tour since 2002 when Dutchman Michael Boogerd withstood a late charge from a certain Lance Armstrong.
All our accommodation is in one of the La Plagne villages meaning you can complete this epic ride and be showered with a drink in hand soon after finishing.

Your Etape Trip
Day By Day Etape Du Tour Challenge 2025
Day 1 - Arrival
Arrive into Geneva and we will be operating group transfers from Geneva airport to La Plagne. Our transfers include a bike box and we will be running 3 pre scheduled transfers across the day.
All our accommodation is located next to the finish line in La Plagne so check in, relax and enjoy stunning views, knowing that at the end of your trip, you will be able to have a how shower and a drink in hand, straight after finishing your ride.
Day 2 - EXPO & Race Registration
You must register in Albertville at registration and so we will be leading a group ride to registration. This is the perfect warm up as it's nearly all downhill, you lose almost 2,000m of elevation making the ride very easy, but with a small incline miodway through, to get the legs moving.
You will leave your bikes, securely and safely tagged in one of the organiser's 24 hour patrolled areas. We will then transfer you back to La Plagne after registration. You will definitely want to visit the EXPO to soak up the atmosphere of an Etape weekend and watch the Tour de France on the big screens.
Day 3 - Race day
Race day, game face on. After an early breakfast, ASO, the Etape organisers will provide transfers for you to the start line to coincide with the time of your starting pen
Hopefully, you will have an incredible ride and fully experience what a superb event the Etape du Tour is.
Relax in the knowledge that after you've finished, you will be either 1.7km or 6km from your hotel and won't have to worry about long coaches or transfers home.
Day 4 - Departure
Check out will be mid morning and we will be operating group transfers again back from La Plagne to Geneva.
